Personal Narrative: A Day At Sioux Falls

Improved Essays
It was a beautiful spring day when the incident happened. I am sitting in my room when Bailey texts the group message saying she wants Juice Stop. So I get in the shower, get ready, and go downstairs to ask my mom if I could drive into Sioux Falls, she says no but I end up driving anyway. After Bailey, Brock and I meet at Baileys we go pick Braedon up, which took forever. We are driving in my little truck and Bailey calls shotgun, so Braedon and Brock cram in the back.
By this time we are on our way to Sioux Falls jamming out, but I have this eerie feeling that something bad is going to happen, I don’t know why but maybe because I am not supposed to be driving in the first place. The sun is glaring down at me from the sky. Interstate is the

I look up and see the car passing us swerve, trying to get out of the way, but they end up hitting the deer head on. The car hit it so fast the deer is flying up in the air, right in front of us and it feels like time froze. You could see the deer as plain as day flying in the air in front of us, then we hear a loud crash. That crash turns out to be our windshield cracking, the deer hit our windshield. In shock I jerk the truck over to the side of the interstate. I can still see for the most part because it hit more of the passenger side. Our windshield is shattered and has der blood all …show more content…
Two of them come up to the window and ask us all a few basic questions, then they ask me to come back to the cop car and answer questions because I was the one driving. Nervously, I get in the cop car and there is a ton of TV screens, and computers and radio stuff in there. It is really cool but at the same time kind of intimidating, and I am nervous. One cop asks questions while the other is typing stuff into his computer. A half hour passes and we are done, the two of them then get out to take a look at the windshield. They tell us if we even try to drive home our windshield would probably fall or cave in on us, so we get back in the truck and wait for Brocks parents to

Sorry for the late e-mail! Hope you catch this in the morning. I have attached my current Resume to this e-mail. What's the difference between a walk and a hike? You always remember your first hike. The sights, the smells and the exhilaration of reaching the top of the butte, falls or reaching the end of a trail. No one could forget their first time, not in a million years. The same was true for me.…

Memory Storm Imagine driving down a road, late at night, and not being able to see lines on the road. Looking out the window and seeing nothing but a white sheet. As all these things were swarming my head, a grey cat crossed the road. Immediately I swerved to the right to miss it, I over corrected and went into the ditch. The only thing I could think about was how I was gonna fix this, It never really occurred to me that I was wrecking my car. I swerved hard to the left to get back over on the road and hit a covert. When I hit the covert it treated my car as a ramp.…

I don’t what would’ve happened if the SUV would’ve caught up to us and I guess we’ll never know. But must I say, that is by far the most terrifying, yet exciting experience in my life. The funny thing is that my parents never knew about this, I got home around 3:30am and went to sleep like nothing ever happened. I guess under my parent’s eyes…

So since I can’t go into the forest near my grandparents anymore, I decided to go to the state park in Savanna with my cousin and her baby boy, Jaxson around 3:00 p.m. The state park wasn’t closed yet, the weather now has changed into a deeper cold then in September but we are still getting hot days or cold days, but mostly cold. I know that the state park does have snakes so I had to look out for them while walking with my cousin. While walking uphill towards the first lookout I noticed a couple of Blue Jays walking along the bath and sides. I believe that they were looking for food for the winter.…

I am an outside person I have been since I could remember, when I would go outside you would usually find me in the pool or over in the Lot and in the Creek. The creek was and still is really fun, walking up and down finding cool stuff and making stick weapons and pretending to fight in the army. The Creek was fun, but it was also scary at night when you could hear stuff moving, but you couldn 't see it, but despite the scariness of the Creek I ended up having some of the best times there when I was a kid. The best well, maybe not the best, but the most memorable time was the time where me, my dad, and my brother (which I didn 't want to come) went to the creek and we were going to walk to the “all the way”. The “all the way” was the point…

Every fall break my dad’s parents would take my older sister, Jade, and I for a little vacation. We would leave soon after we got out of school on Wednesday or early Thursday morning to wherever they were taking us. Some of the trips would be only one or two days and others would be all four days that we had off. We would jump in their red Toyota and drive all over the continental U.S. seeing mostly flat land and corn field along the way. Most of the trips that we took together were fun and exciting and others not that much.…

A Day In the Woods I am usually not very excited about doing homework, but today, at least most of it would not be that bad. Glenn1 “The Day of Excitement” Growing up in a city where there is not much to do there comes a time where you might go out and do something that your parents would not approve of but if that is the only way you are gonna have fun you might just do it. My parents are very strict , but that is only because they want the best for me which I most definitely get , however I do think that they could let loose sometimes. It was just this year that my parents finally let me have people come to my house. Typically I am a very good kid who listens and obeys my parents, but today was different. This was the first time I had hung out with a new friend named Jayla and it it was full of fear, adventure, and anxieties.…

The alarm that I had set the night before goes off and I debate hitting snooze and going back to bed, even though I am fully aware that I need to be out of bed and ready by 6:30 am. I am not one to rise before the crack of dawn and run miles to start out my day so I slowly drag myself out of my warm ever so comfortable bed knowing that sleeping in is not an option. This day was to be a day full of first time experiences and once I finished my morning routine, I was enthusiastic to get the day started. I will be attending the Backwoods Festival in Thornville, Ohio which is approximately an hour drive from my home. As I arrive and walk into the woods I take in my surroundings and the beauty in the nature around me overwhelms me.…
