Personal Narrative: A Day At Hunt Middle School

Improved Essays
“Bye Jacob,” remarked my mom “Have a great day at middle school!” I was walking to the bus stop when I suddenly hear somebody yell “Jacob!” I look around to see who possibly could have called my name when I saw my friend Nick. I was so nervous my heart was pounding like a drum because it was a start of middle school. I was talking to my friends, waiting for the bus which it felt like an eternity, but the bus finally arrived. As I walked into the bus I looked up at the big, yellow, glaring sun hoping today would be a good day. On the way to Hunt Middle School, the talking and laughter helped me forget the jitters.
As I arrived at Hunt Middle School I walked into the school as I see tons of new faces, but at the same time I see all of my friends.

The hardest thing I’ve ever went through? Let me take you back to almost three years ago to a very cold Thursday morning in January. I was sitting in history class when suddenly something very strange happened; the announcement speakers came on. To most people it would seem like it was a very typical day to day event to listen to announcements; but at my school announcements were rarely ever said. My classroom got completely silent; to the point where you could have heard a pin drop.…

From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…

This personal narrative is going to be about the first day of Middle School and my experiences as a 6th grader. It is going to go after my emotions and other descriptive details of the first day. I still remember how the seat belt felt tightening across my chest as the car got closer to the Middle School. During that time I knew nothing about being in a big school because the biggest school i've been in was yankee ridge. (Which is really small).…

I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

That Day in Fourth Grade “People come into our lives for a reason, bringing something you must learn, and we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them and we help them in return. -Glinda” One of my best friends today, Teonna Frye, has influenced a lot of the choices that have made me into who I am today. We walked into the air conditioned building from the smoldering heat. This was the hard part; Jordy and I had to part ways and go to different classes. As we left each other the nerves grew inside me like a shaken up soda waiting for a fool to open it and explode. Praying that I had friends in my class, I walked in unsure if my legs were weak because of the anxiety I was feeling about who I was going to eat lunch with or the long hike I was going to have to take daily to Mrs.…

Courage The cool, February air chills up my body as I walk with a smile plastered across my face. Life was good-- 8th grade was a time where nothing was too challenging, nor too simple. This was a time where days would move by slowly, weeks would fly by easily, and months zipped by at light speed. However, this all changed when one day I was just sitting in my bed studying for an upcoming history test, and a name popped up across my screen: *Zach.…
