It was a cold crisp Winter day at the Sunburst ski hill. It was slightly snowing and there were patches of ice everywhere. I could smell the smoke from the ski lift burning my nostrils. My black snowboarding boots were strapped tightly to my cold feet, and my gigantic warm blue coat was zipped up. The hill was calling to me as soon as I stepped out onto the chilly white snow.

On the other hand, my GoPro was working fine. I quickly strapped my GoPro to my helmet and hurried outside. Even though we had arrived pretty early, the line was still huge for the ski lift.

It was a Saturday afternoon in December and frighteningly cold out. Becca had gone to the ice rink to watch Ashley skate. Sitting on the bleachers, freezing, wishing her best friend was a gymnast or even a pianist, she reached up and pulled her hat over her ears. Ashley’s coach stood scrutinizing her as she sped across the ice, jumped high in the air, spun around into a blur of beautiful colors and landed effortlessly, looking like she hadn’t even taken a breath.…
