The place I’m going to be describing is a day at Canada’s Wonderland. As I walk through the concrete grounds of the amusement park, all around me I see rides, the amazing creations of rollercoasters. I see beautiful decoration of waterfalls, bright coloured flowers and souvenir shops. There are rushes of people everywhere, everyone enjoying themselves, a hot summer day outside with their friends and family at Canada’s Wonderland. The sun today looked as cheerful as ever. I currently reside in Markham, the city is a part of York Region and is located just north of Toronto. I moved there at the end of eighth grade, and since then it has been my hometown. Markham is a boring place to be, rarely does anything eventful ever happens, and there is really nothing to do, there is a mall, a theatre and occasionally there’s a festival, which is pretty much it. This is aided by the fact that crime is low in the city, there are few murders and little robberies, with most notable crimes being the occasional weed deal here and there. Markham is also a quiet place, mainly thanks to a small population, the minimal traffic and lack of pedestrians keeps noise to a minimum.…

Times have been rough, but I am sure you are aware of this. I am writing to you in a time of extremely dire circumstances. During a case I was part of not too long ago a discourteous lawyer absolutely engulfed in his work decided to say such words that have lifted a forgotten sprit within me. After speaking to the Attorney General about allowing 'mixed company' to be present in cases about prostitution, I was much too overjoyed about winning that I failed to realize the many injustices that are still prevailing, ruining our fellow sisters. It is because of this reason that when I heard such infantile words come out of that lawyers mouth was I absolutely appalled.…

I woke up late and rushed to pack my suitcase, grab some cash, and make it to the airport in time for my flight to Montreal. My Uber driver was on point, getting me to FLL with time to spare. I breezed through security, grabbed some coffee, and jumped on the plane like a boss. Three and a half hours later, my flight landed safely at YUL. As I was going through customs I noticed that the officers were being especially invasive.…

One of my trashes that I have to overcome was when my family came to Canada in 2010-2012 and decided to stay here, I felt quite sad and unhappy, because of leaving all of my friends and most of my relatives back in Vietnam. At school, I was not really able to make friends, since the language was the number one barrier for me at the time, and I have always thought of going back to Vietnam, which makes me not want to learn English even more. Memories and the moments when I was in Vietnam seemed to be the things I had always think of. But as time passed, my family, my aunt’s family, and a few of my cousins, had give me supports and encouraged me, thus making me like the country better. There isn’t anything more breathtaking than going Up North. If you’re not from Michigan you might be wondering, “Where up north?” In Michigan we use “up north” as a term for the upper half of the mitten, I’d say from the top of the thumb up. The UP (Upper Peninsula) can be considered Up North but normally it's just the UP.…

I had never had so much fun with obnoxiously loud carnival music blasting in my ears, small children stupidly goofing off in front of me, and the smell of food that was so greasy it made my stomach turn. Things that usually gave me a migraine, now made me intoxicated on my own cheerfulness. However, everyone knows that all good things must come to an end. Shortly after my dad and I had exited the carousel, it was time for us to leave the park.…
