At the beginning of this semester I was extremely nervous to be taking a writing class. Growing up I was never a strong writer. However, throughout this course I believe I have become a better writer. This change in my write can be attributed to the different assignments throughout the course. One aspect of my writing that has improved tremendously is my ability to form sentences from increased use of active voice, proof reading, and sentence organization. One improvement I made to my writing was I began using the active voice. Before this class I had trouble stopping myself from using the passive voice. In the past, I assumed these tenses did not have an impact on my writing. However, I now know tense plays a huge role in the writing process.
