Personal Narrative: A Career In The Soccer Field

Growing up and playing soccer my entire life, I can personally explain to anyone how difficult the game really is. However, when I step on the soccer field Saturday mornings to volunteer, I know the players participating have a set of unique challenges that make their accomplishments truly extraordinary. That's because every Saturday I volunteer at the nonprofit organization RVACCESS, which helps provide special needs athletes the opportunity to play soccer. I first found out about the program four years ago and was amazed at what a difference it made for the athletes and their parents.
