Personal Narrative: A Career In The Printing Industry

The kind of work career I would like to go into when I finish graphic imaging at cvcc would most likely be the plate setting part of graphic imaging. The reason why would be because I feel like this area of work is what works for me most because it was one of the first hands on tech that I learned how to use in the printing industry. Now I do like the printing and i am pretty good at it I feel like my full potential in the printing industry would being plate setting and I did learned a lot from my graphic imaging teacher on press. Which there is a lot to do in that area of the work place and that’s for professionals but even then professionals mess up as well While I could go into the printing press part of the printing industry. Now when I saw the plates I was pretty intimidated at how big they were and I was kinda worried that I might mess up but knowing me I like a challenge and this challenge to me was like fighting this one gigantic tree boss in dark souls 3 it was so hard but it only fueled me to try. So my teacher showed how to do put the plate in because this company plate was twice the size as the normal ones I would work on so he showed me a measurement and when I told him that “I got this” he believed in me and I started going on company plates. One after another using this secret technique that my teacher taught took me about an 45 minutes to an hour to get twelve plates in and that company manager I think not really sure but he was came by to get the plates that I had them packed and ready right on time for him to back to his job get those plates that I Printed into their printing press I felt that I had accomplished something great and with this i’m then decided that I would go into the plate setting aspect of the graphic imaging
