Youtube has been an amazing input for talent, comedy, and just pure entertainment. Many are unsuccessful, but if you enter youtube with an open mind, and a life of talent, you just may start making millions. To be more specific, the music industry is very picky, and songs only get famous if a majority of the population finds it catchy. The main problem with this is getting discovered. Several amazing songs haven't gotten the recognition and appreciation for the hard work that goes into them. This is because the people who released them were not already famous at that time. The screeching of my violin echoed off the wall as I struggled to play Mendelssohn's concerto in E minor. The double stops that were meant to flow in harmony came out in a jumbled mass of notes indistinguishable from the shriek of a dying cow. I whimpered as these terrible sounds emitted out of my violin, and threw my violin down in defeat. I slowly tilted my head towards the clock, a terrifying reminder that my addition was only 10 min away. I gathered up my music, and ambled away from the empty practice room to where my judge would listen to my audition.…

My entire life I have always wanted to do something where I would be remembered positively by many people. I recall always telling myself I was going to become a backup dancer for a famous singer, become a singer myself, or maybe an actress. Better yet, I thought I could have been all three. As I entered middle school, I realized those goals were too surreal to even become the slightest bit possible, mainly since I am located in an area that most people haven’t even heard of. Back then, I was very uncertain about any career goals I have had.…

I believe that the answer lies within the strong bond between the singer and the listener. Music is one of the most intimate forms of entertainment. There has always been this bonding connection between having one person tell a story with emotions through song and having another listen and relate to it themselves and/or the world around them. With that bond comes a rich trust and when certain artists pour their hearts out in a song, the last thing that someone wants to hear is something as cheap as product placement. The value of the music industry lies within the heart, the heart-to-heart between the singer and the listener.…
