Personal Narrative: A Career In The Medical Field

Henry David Thoreau once advised “Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence.” Oftentimes, people limit their career goals to what is easily attained. I have decided to deviate the norms in my community, for I intend to pursue a career in the medical field and make a change in the lives of others.
When I was six years old, my younger brother was born as a premature infant. He was born at a gestational age of twenty six weeks, in other words six months and two weeks old. My mother had previous issues with pregnancies including two miscarriages. She was really excited to finally introduce a new member to the family, and was awaiting my younger brother with utmost joy.
