agony and pain. The reigning MVP has torn his ACL in his left leg. This damage
ultimately leads to the defeat of the bulls in the first round of the Eastern Conference
playoffs.
If not obvious enough, sports are a very big part of who I am. It has always been a
way to bond with friends, let out feelings of aggressiveness, and put my urges of
competition to good use. For the most part, sports have always been very recreational for

The many different subjects I have learned
as part of the medical academy constantly interest me. I enjoy the thought of working on
human cadavers. I am excited by the simple task of taking the pulse of another person. I
am interested in the different stains that are performed on different types of cells to
examine them. But what interests me the most, is the subject of Sports Medicine. The
idea of working with young children, to veteran athletes along with being able to practice
the art of medicine excites me more than anything. Its almost as if it is the best possible
compromise between the two things I have grown to and will continue to love.
My knowledge in the basics of anatomy, biology, principles of health science, and
medical terminology have given me a head start over many students in pursuing my
goals. I have been given more than the bare minimum and it will prove worthy in the long
run. My interest in these subjects will give me the capacity to understand and apply these
subjects when I move deeper into my education, even beyond undergraduate studies.
