Personal Narrative: A Career In Art Therapy

There are many careers to choose from in life. Although, I love the thought of being an art teacher if I had to choose another career it would be art therapy. In fact, before I wanted to be an art teacher I wanted to be an art therapist. I am really drawn to art therapy because it combines my love of art with helping others. I have not had the easiest bringing up. As a child, I was picked on by my father daily. He was and is a very bitter man who has never had anything nice to say. Being brought up in this situation has made me very strong and for that I am thankful. Perhaps that is why I really want to work with children.
