Twenty three years ago, after moving from New York City to South Carolina, I interviewed for a job as an Emergency Medical Technician. Initially I was told because New York was so far advance than SC and I should be able to nail the interview because people who applied for the job would have to demonstrate the skills station it to see if the potential employees knew their skills. Although I had worked in NYC as an EMT for eight years, the employer asked me questions about South Carolina state regulations regarding EMT’s policy and procedures.
