The hip joint is one of the most flexible bones/ part of the body that we have in our bodies. I chose the hip to research because I had an injury in my hip before.
I have this patient that has injured his hip; the injury that I diagnosed to hip is called the hip flexor sprain. The hip flexor strain is the tearing of one or more of the hip flexor muscles, to get the injury you have to make a wrong movement while you are running, or jumping and/or without proper stretching. The patient has a 2nd degree hip flexor strain and needs to let it heal before he can hit the field because of lack of mobility, and he can also make the injury worse and that can cause permanent damage to that part of the body.
Depending on the injury severity you can determine how long the healing process will take, they have different degrees to determine this, and there are degrees 1, 2, and 3. Degree 1: is when a small number of fibers are torn causing some pain, but allowing full function. Degree 2: is when a significant number of fibers are torn, and has moderate loss of function. Degree 3: is when all muscle fibers are ruptured resulting in major loss of function and major
