When I was a child I liked to be around animals, and when I saw one injured, I tried to help it. I always searched the species that animals belonged to. This is when I decided to be a veterinarian. When seeking a career as a veterinarian, a person should look at aspect such as one’s responsibilities, necessary, skills, work conditions, salary, and its prospects, but even more important is to prepare oneself properly by attending the university of florida college of veterinary medicine that will offer the best training possible. A veterinarian has many responsibilities. For example veterinarians must know the signs that animals make, because unlike humans they don’t vocalize symptoms (veterinary physician 3). ‘Most veterinarians work in private clinics and hospitals. Others travel to farms, work in laboratories or classrooms, or work for government.”(veterinarians 3). Those who help horses or food animals travel “ between their offices and farms and ranches. They work outdoors in all kinds of weather and may have to performs surgery , often in remote locations.”(veterinarians 3). also , they’re veterinarians that work in food safety and inspection. “ travel to farms, slaughterhouses, and food-processing plants to inspect the health of animals and ensure that safety protocols are being followed.” (veterinarians 4). They are also, those who conduct research work primarily officers and laboratories. They deal more with people, rather than animals (veterinarians 4). “The work can be emotionally stressful, as veterinarians deal with sick animals and the animals’ anxious owners. Also, the workplace can be noisy, as animals make noise when sick or being handled. Working on farms and ranches, in slaughterhouses, or with wildlife can also be physically demanding.” (veterinarians 4). As working with sick animals, they may be consequences to being bitten kicked and scratched. In addition, you may get infected by the disease that the sick animal has. To sum up, you have to deal with your schedule to because you must answer an emergency , outside of work hours (veterinarians
