I have been apart of volleyball, track, and softball my whole high school career. In volleyball I have always been a leader out on the court or off the court as a mellow leader. Every year in volleyball the seniors are the ones that are forced to bond with the whole team, but this year we had a new coach who changed the rules from what we were used to. The other senior and I took it into our own hands to make this season fun, since no one was sure how it would turn out. So I invited the whole 9-12 volleyball team over to my house after a practice during the summer to have a big sleepover; it went very well and we were the closest team that I have ever been a part of or seen. In the regular softball season I show my leadership by cheering my teammates on, helping them critique certain aspects of their swing/throw, and again make it an enjoyable environment so everyone will have a better time. I show my leadership not always by telling people what to do but by doing what I think is right and having them follow like in my school's new student council committee. I am the Vice President partly because of the kids in the school. I gave a speech to the student body along with a few other students who wanted this position and after our speeches the student body voted on who would be best. I got voted to be Vice President which is a great honor. I have been involved in starting many new things for our school like a toy drive, a Keurig for the students and staff members, organized many fundraisers that happen during halftimes of sporting events to get people more involved, and supervised a junior high dance which raised canned goods for the lord's cupboard. Along with this I was recently elected on National Honor

I was the youngest and only knew my sister. At the first practice, I was nervous to the point where I was sweaty without even moving due to my fear of everyone else being better than me. My sister and I found out that we were on Ken’s team.…

When I was asked to be the football team manager at my school, I did not know what my duties would be. My job did not have many clear roles, so I created a more contributing manager role. I took a CPR/first-aid training course, researched football-related injuries, and learned to wrap ankles, wrists, knees, etc. I was at practices 3 times a week and at the games. I provided hydration, recorded player info, kept track of gear, aided in pre-game preparation, provided first-aid care, and arranged team meals.…

The Inspirational Soccer Coach She arrived in 7th grade, at first she was really shy and quiet, but I guess over the years she got used to my loud voice and strange personality that she started acting like her true, clumsy, funny self. My coaching experience in none thus far and my experience in sports is High School Women’s Golf team and 15 years of recreational women’s slow-pitch softball. I have however had a few different coaches in that fifteen years and can honestly say they were all different, they were all good coaches but different. My own coaching philosophy would vary depending on the age group and the competitiveness of the sport. Younger athletes have different needs and would require a stricter coaching style than that of a high-school or college level athlete, and therefore each would have a different coaching philosophy.…

Hope everything is going well with you and you’re having a great summer! I am not sure if you remember me, but we spoke a few months back about the Vikings summer internship that you had available (I am sending this e-mail as a reply to that conversation). I was not ready at the time of that conversation, but I truly believe that now with the courses I took this last spring and my internship this summer, I am ready and prepared for this kind of position. Nothing has changed in terms of my passion for the game of football, and I really would love the opportunity to do some analysis and fully apply for this position. I know this is very far ahead of schedule given this summer is not over yet, but I wanted to be in touch as soon as possible…
