Personal Narrative: A Career As A Social Worker

At a young age, my parents divorced one another, and I was required to see a social worker to help me better understand my situation and how to overcome it. At first, I was confused and angry. Eventually, with help, I became happy again. My situation inspired me to help others less fortunate than myself due to circumstances beyond their control.
In seventh grade, during a basketball game, my dad got a call from my friend's mom. My coach was about to put me in the game when my dad came up to me and said my friend’s dad had just passed away and she wanted to only see me. Instead of playing the sport I loved, and taking the opportunity to impress my coach I drove 45 minutes up to her house on a school night. I did not get back until 12 at night,
