Personal Narrative: A Career As A Radiologist

I knew from an early age that I wanted a life in medicine. But looking back at my medical career, it is amusing and shocking how little I knew of a life in medicine at that time. Despite my father being a doctor, I had a very poor grasp on what it takes to be a physician. Now nearing the end of my residency training I have a better idea, making me confident that I will make good radiologist, and have a good life as a radiologist.
In terms of developing into an excellent physician, one of my greatest qualities is humility. Being able to use what I know to figure out what I didn’t was something I became quickly good at in radiology, but I know myself well enough to know my weaknesses, and when to ask for help.
