I have yet to experience nursing management in my Dept. Though some members may have referred to me as an authoritarian nurse manager, however, I am most proud to a bedside nurse in the ER. “Don’t sell yourself short; recognize you are a leader at the bedside… Capitalize on your strengths and gain control over your career journey… You are a leader” (Duffy & Smith, 2013). As a bedside nurse, I researched evidenced-based practice and implement them to promote safety and increase the level of care to patients. Also, I provide assistance and support my staff members when needed. According to Hood (2014), “They incorporate research results into daily clinical practices… and treat clients as equal partners when planning and delivering nursing care”
