My interest in art administration started off slowly and grew from small, but significant changes in my life. During all of these changes I was spending time as a photographer. My earliest experience was documenting dance and sporting events for my high school yearbook, which led to my promotion as the yearbook's photo editor. This early success inspired me to pursue a career in the arts, I attended the Edinboro University Pennsylvania from 2010 to 2014. Which opened up more doors for me. Not only did I learn the fundamental of art, but I met many people and professionals. It is because of these interactions I was able to work as a volunteer photographer for multiple events on campus and helped the university newspaper with their photography needs too.

I was first exposed to the medium during a gathering at a friend's dorm room. when my friends partner recommended we listen to this new podcast called "Night Vale." We agreed and my interest was instantly peaked. I was fascinated by the idea that you could tell a story with sound, and considered exploring this medium myself. I then began writing scripts and developed my podcast "White-Noise." After I wrote the scripts, I recruited a team of actors, an audio editor and volunteers to help piece my project together. I enjoyed the ability to solve day to day problems of production, the curation, and discussion of multiple ideas.

Through this experience and my other artistic endeavors, I realized I lacked many of the skills necessary to start and manage an art business. Including grant writing, financial management, marketing and art management techniques. It is here my interest in art administration began to take a tangible shape, and my desire to obtain these skills began to burn. Once I attain these skills, this degree will help me fill the gaps in my knowledge, so I can better manage my art

I have dabbled with art ever since I was a toddler. I would draw anywhere I went: school, home, and even at church. Developing into this interest, I started writing my own medical journal, where I took notes from a book called Gray’s Anatomy and from the medical dramas I watched.…

I worked as a lighting assistant / stagehand. Personally, I think most of our live lab went pretty well and smooth, we got everything done and set up even earlier than usual, we were an hour ahead of everything, not only because we were very confortable with our positions and helping each other out but also because it was a single girl act instead of a complete band performing on stage, which does not really give me a complete perspective of how a live lab could actually get in terms of complexity and work since we did not have to do much on this one, although we still had to treat it as a show either way. When it comes to lighting assistance, for anybody who is ever willing to volunteer for this position, I would suggest to always go ahead…

I have always had a passion for history and storytelling since I was a child and decided in seventh grade world history class that I wanted to be an archaeologist, discovering ancient cultures and uncovering their secrets. I maintained this plan, arriving at Boston University as an archaeology major but after several semesters of study realized that it wasn’t the exact path for me. I began to grow my appreciation of museums, admiring how they could ignite wonder, curiosity, and learning in myself and others. I realized this was where I felt most at home. Therefore, I decided to change my major to art history, while retaining an archaeology minor, and explore history through the lens of artist’s interpretations and ideas.…
