A simple five-letter word that holds so much meaning in the world; five single letters that come together to spell a word that not only denotes for a career path, but also shapes a person’s identity. A nurse has the most challenging, yet most rewarding job a person can have. Each day a nurse experiences tragedy and triumphs, as they get to hold the hands of loved ones who have experienced loss, and rejoice with those who get to celebrate life. A nurse not only puts others needs before theirs, but also supports, encourages, and shows strength in the time of weakness of others. To be a nurse is not only a privilege, it truly takes a special person.
