I’ve always been interested in the medical field. When I was born I was in complete heart block. I had to be transferred to another hospital so they could put in a Medtronic Pacemaker. From a very young age, I was always interested in my pacemaker and how it works. Some days I would spend a lot of my time just thinking about my pacemaker and other surgeries that go on, on a day to day basis. I’ve have been told the common information about why I needed it but I always wanted to know more about certain surgeries. My mom happens to be a cardiac nurse. I grew up knowing some of her weird stories from her work and I always had an interest in some of the tools she would bring home with her, which were child-friendly of course. These stories
