Personal Narrative: A Career As A Medical Assistant

Personally, things were complicated growing up. I lived in a tough, low-income neighborhood with a household of six and parents who left their country for a brighter future. In addition, nothing was ever handed to me and I worked rigorously to achieve my goals. For example, these past years – I devoted sleepless nights to homework and school, all while maintaining a full-time job. Moreover, this has taught me to becoming the dedicated, hard-worker I remain today. However, there were numerous times I wanted to give up, nevertheless quitting was not an option.

Initially, I went to school to become a Medical assistant. My externship was at a small Internal Medicine practice and when I completed the program, a job offer was given. I was ecstatic
