Personal Narrative: A Career As A Massage Therapist

Two years ago I worked as a massage therapist for a well-known spa chain that had a high turner over rate for the front desk manager position. There was about period of four months where we did not have a manager or a presence of leadership. Essentially the owner would pop in once in a while just to make sure the business was functional and making money. During this time, my mother was declining from her fight with cancer. My father had called me on my cell phone at work to let me know that it was time for me to fly home due to the fact that he did not foresee my mother surviving much longer.
