The first job I had out of school was as a human capital intern. That role transitioned into a human resource assistant role. This experience showed me that the field of human resources was for me, however in a different aspect. I found myself constantly looking for ways to improve processes, receive feedback from employees on things that could make their jobs and the organization more desirable and effective. I found that as the HR assistant I had the broader look at the organization, but lacked the skills or experience to receive the consideration from those who had the ability to make change. My enrollment in the MA I/O program is my way of changing that and empowering myself.
