The many projects that I have
The many projects that I have
I was an ambitious sophomore in every way I could be, and this year I have taken my role as Vice President very seriously. I was able to work closely with the other officers to coordinate events and direct the meetings, both crucial aspects of our chapter’s success. Through my DECA experience thus far, I have realized that it is not just a club, and what we do in it does not just stay with us in high school. DECA has been instrumental in my life and I have been enamored of it so…
Nursing has been around for a very long time. To be successful in any career, you must know the job position, duties and responsibilities. Most (CNA) training programs last about eight weeks. The pay is average, and doesn’t change much, even though some CNA’s have been in the field longer than others. There are many duties that are expected from the CAN and some require good physical ability, as well as, certain characteristics that would make me good for the job.…
I have also been involved with my Future Business Leaders of America chapter and am the president of the club. Being so helps me give to the community and school by starting fundraisers for the March of Dimes, running cereal drives for the food pantry, and donating time to other organizations. I lead the meetings and discuss with my chapter what they want to do and what imprint they want to leave on our school as a chapter. FBLA has helped me reach out to my community like all of my other leadership roles I play a part…
Communication is of essential importance in any workplace, relationship, and gathering, which creates efficient leadership within a group. Towards the closing of my junior year, I was elected to be one of the few student board members to my school’s National Honor Society. Achieving board member status for this renowned society of students is an eye-opening experience. Adapting to the responsibility that a highly respected board member carries of such a prestigious group truly distinguishes differences between the ordinary member and those who collectively lead the organization. From coordinating induction ceremonies for incoming members, to communicating with local providers for community service events, being a representative of…
Contrary to popular belief, I do in fact have CH experience. I worked in CHC under Xardas back in {DoD} and served as 1stSgt/SgtMaj and Chaplain. While that was some time ago, and things have no doubt changed since then, I have no doubt that the CH department can get me up to scratch. I don't really have any objections to this…
Even when I’m wrong I’m usually right. At least that is how I like to think of it but the truth is I am headstrong. I don’t give up and I’ll keep persisting to get what I want. Though it hasn’t always been helpful, but, yet being so stubborn has lead me to work hard to to achieve my goals. To say I’m as stubborn as a mule would be an understatement.…
The Brick: Merchandiser Employee - My role as a merchandiser for The Brick is to unload inventory trucks, add each item to the system registry, place customers' products in their vehicles, answer customer questions, and assemble and repair products. Breakfast for Learning: Volunteer - As a volunteer for the non-profit organization, Breakfast for Learning, I was required to set up a barbecue station and cook hot dogs which were given out to people for free, with the option to donate money. DECA Ontario: Vice President - My role as Vice President of my school's DECA chapter was to promote the organization in our school, inform fellow members of meetings and attend them, and answer any questions a member anytime via text or email.…
After looking around the room and noticing all the delighted expressions on people’s faces, I, too, opened my letter. I swiftly read the paper and instantly became disheartened. I didn’t make it. After all of my advanced classes and extracurricular activities, it still wasn’t enough to ensure a position as a member of the National Honor Society. I was utterly devastated.…
Being part of an organization involves commitment to your role and good communication with other members. I believe that I possess these traits needed to be a part of MPA Council’s committee chair. As the Fundraising Director of a service organization, I learned how to work as a team to accomplish goals and make events possible. Furthermore, I am able to adapt to unexpected changes and take on responsibilities for the organization as the whole. Through being part of MPA Council, I hope to contribute to the program and develop myself professionally.…
The dusty debris clouded my feet as I moved through the ruins of the neighborhood. The pungent smell of the blood overwhelmed my nostrils, and my eyes watered partly from the effect of the dust and primarily from the overwhelming sadness and fury that warred inside of me. The once polished commercial buildings were wrecked; broken windows, crumbled pieces of the wall, and gang graffiti served as evidence of the disaster that struck this neighborhood. Silence ran throughout the area, and no human presence could be detected. The evening sunlight projected a red tint over the wreckage, like spatters of blood, and indicated the upcoming arrival of the rebels; who carried out their attacks predominately during the night.…
I am applying for a recommendation to be interview for Girls Nation 2017. It would be interesting to go to Girls Nation and learn about the innerworkings of the United States government in a close-up, hands-on way. The more one knows about the government and how it works, they can make more educated decisions on the officials they are electing to run this great and powerful nation. I feel it would be a wonderful way to broaden my horizons, to learn more about the government, and to spend time with girls who express the same kind of interest.…
During this midyear, I have been working toward a smooth adoption of lean principals and tools. Principals such as creating value for clients by limiting the amount of touches and rework that must be done with any of my work objects in order to see it through to complete- taking ownership of the request whenever possible. I have been striving towards improving my overall quality, with few SDQA findings. Those requests that do come back with less than perfect quality, I have been continually taking those findings and writing them down, learning from the mistakes I made to eliminate them in the future. In terms of daily goals, I try and set reasonable handled and completed goals for myself based on the information we are given about the day, but am always striving to push myself to do just a few more work…
Entering Legacy I was unsure what to expect, extremely nerve wrecking entering into a class you are unfamiliar with. All of a sudden I felt like I was in kindergarten again, little did I know my life would be changed forever. Legacy is definitely something I will always cherish and remember for the rest of my life. This school is not an ordinary school, this is a place where you have opportunities to succeed, grow, become that powerful human being. Personally, I noticed there was progress in my work, I was actually learning.…
Guide the members of the club to solutions regarding club issues and logistics while also supervising the group at some of the meetings. 2. Be the point of contact for any university requests or issues pertaining to day to day functions. 3. Assist in leading the club towards a positive perspective and onto progressive goals.…
When entering high school, I set high expectations and goals for myself. Throughout the years, I have achieved all goals and even surpassed expectations. Beginning freshman year, I envisioned myself fully decorated at graduation. This would require myself to become involved in my school and apply myself to my courses. Throughout my schooling, I received several achievements and also persevered in my learning through specific courses.…
