According to the Web site Virginia.gov, Virginia’s three year graduation rate for community college students has improved. In addition, 30 percent of students have been able to graduate. This low success rate is not good for college students. Although college is challenging, however, I am going to be successful by using the advice from experts, by developing strategies, and by taking advantage of the benefits offered by my college. Because I am a full time employee, I have numerous issues that I must overcome. As a twelve hour worker, time management is a big major issue for me. First, I will avoid procrastinating by preparing a “To Do” list every day. Having all my class work written down on a sticky note from week to week will organize my schedule very well. In addition, I will utilize the Writing Center to become a better grammar user. If I am struggling with my writing, I can get help with some good ideas. Third, I will work on grammar in Connect, an online program. Fourth, I will continue to creating a study cards because these are the best way of learning words.
