Oral Bacteria: Comparing Mouth’s with Canine and Human
Introduction: This is the study of “oral bacteria” where hundreds of bacteria reside in the mouths of human and canines. According to researchers there is many names to refer to “oral bacteria” such as “oral microflora”, “oral microbiota”, and “oral microbiome” (Dewhirst et al. 2010). The human oral cavity consists of “teeth, gingival sulcus, tongue, hard and soft palates, and tonsils, which are colonized by bacteria…, approximately 280 bacterial species from the oral cavity have been isolated in culture and formally named” (Dewhirst et al. 2010).
