30 Day Expense Tracking Essay

To begin, I didn’t know what to expect from doing this expense tracking assignment. The only challenge I faced was trying to remember about the worksheet throughout these 30 days. Luckily I have a great memory of what I’ve done in past days only when it comes down to what I've used my money on. Well, the assignment did get me to finally notice what I did use my money for and how wisely it was used. To end it off, this assignment was something very unusual to any other assignment that I had because I never been given a task to keep track of what I use my money on.

First, I frequently started to record my transactions or purchases with my money pretty well but then started to just not go so well afterwards. Well, at first, I kept track of what I bought or purchased throughout the week and then by the end of the week which is obviously Sunday, then I had written it down on the tracking worksheet. I didn’t have much to write on the tracker because to me it seemed like I rarely used my money to buy the things that I desired. After a good two weeks of keeping track of the worksheet, I started to forget about the assignment because of my other daily activities that I did at home or if I had received other homework

For instance, I mostly used my money to get me junk food which was chips and for every weekday I got food from school during lunch was always five dollars added to my tracking worksheet. There were days where I just used my money to go get myself fast food from like little caesars,Bobos, and In-N-Out. In general, my spending habit is very bad because luckily as a teen we have a high metabolism but with the way I’m spending my money isn’t going to help me once I start to hit my twenties. To conclude, this is my little short summary of the way I have to spend my money during this

As I mentioned in the previous assignment, I want to increase my baseline 500 steps each week so that by the end of the semester I am recording 10,000 steps which is in the active range. I will continue walking around the property at work and stepping in place whenever I possibly can. I will stick to walking to the mailbox which is two blocks from home as opposed to driving up to it on my way home. If I have days where I am tired I will just give myself another pep talk. I have a pretty good support system thus far so I will lean on them if pushing myself on my own does not cut it.…

The Rinehart Institute’s Wellness Assessment was a compelling survey with interesting results. The results from taking the assessment were mind-boggling as I did not expect some of the results to occur the way they did. In particular, my financial average is surprisingly low and money is something I truly love. But some of the results are beneficial to me and beneficial to the people I associate with. For example, my relationship average is a 4.24 which means I am an outgoing person who can keep amazing relationships with people.…

After spending the summer working long hours at a minimum wage job, I quickly came to understand the value of money and how to budget. I had always been a very frugal person, but once I started earning my own money I became even more careful with my spending. I made sure I was absolutely positive anything I considered buying was worth my investment because to get more money meant using my valuable time. Though deciding whether to buy a new t-shirt is a whole lot different than deciding whether you want to attend college, the choices are similar. Both require you to weigh whether the product you are going to invest in is worth its expense.…

Polished Brief Have you ever wanted something so bad that you thought it was necessary for your life to go on, for me that something was a pet dog. At the age of seven I was begging my parents to get me a puppy for about a year, the conversations usually sounded like this “ Hey mom and dad I was wondering if I could get a puppy this year for my birthday?” and they would reply “ I don’t know son a dog is a huge responsibility, I don’t know if you are ready for this yet.” then I would storm off all angry, because I did not get the answer I was looking or hoping for.…

If I could do something I've never done before, I would go on a missions trip. I would choose to do this because ever since I was younger, about in seventh grade, I have felt a call to go to Japan and minister. I feel like if God has given me the idea, it is meant to happen sometime in his plan for me. I would also want to go on a missions trip because that is what God has commanded us to do; spread his word. Taking this opportunity and using it to honor God would be just what he would want me to…

It is not the easiest to find something good to do with a dollar. You can’t even buy anything at the Dollar Tree because with tax, you are spending $1.07. You could buy a Ricker’s soda, I guess, but that’s not really going to make an impact on anyone’s life. With my dollar, I decided to exchange it for one hundred pennies at Payless.…

30 Day Expense Tracking Essay For 30 days I had to write down how much money I spent in 30 days and to see what category was most of money being spent. I think this was a good exercise because I could visually see where my money was being spent and to keep track of my money as well. In the beginning there were challenges to keep track of my money but as it progressed I was more on track than I was in the beginning. Some challenges that I overcame this assignment was that sometimes I would forget that I had to fill out how much money I had spent that day.…

Sometimes I would spend my money on candy or little toys, but if I wanted something expensive, I had to save. As much as I wanted to use my chore money to buy candy, I would be responsible and save my money for something expensive like a video game or a big toy. I can now apply that to being an adult and being able to save my money for my bills rather than…
