Personal Narrative-2016-2009 Horse Show

I lay in bed awake, thinking about the day to come. Tomorrow I would compete in the last horse show of the 2016-2017 horse show year. At the end of each year, is you did well, you get a huge ribbon that is very pretty! Throughout the year you compete in different horse shows for points. The person with the most points gets first, second most gets second and so on through sixth place. I was tied for first place with my biggest competitor, and she is showing against me tomorrow. If she did well she would get first, if I did I would win. So, no pressure on me at all. The next morning I woke up early and made myself a healthy breakfast. I was ready to win! I got dressed in only my luckiest of clothing. I made sure I looked sharp. I did my hair with extreme precision. I could not risk getting any points off from my appearance. Finally, I was ready to go. We pulled up to the horse show grounds. By then, I was shaking. I went up to my pony’s stall and decided we needed a good pep-talk. I said, “Ok, this is it. Our last show of the year, and we have to win! We can do it. I know we can!” he looked like he was ready, so I was satisfied with my pep-talk. …show more content…
I was ready and so was my pony. When we got down to the ring I said my annual prayer. My instructor said, “Good luck, have fun!” and I was sent into the abyss. This is the easy part because it’s the flat class. Which means that I didn’t have to jump yet. I watch my rival confidently prance into the ring. Gosh, she looks good too. The announcer called the class to order and I sat tall. Throughout the class I kept glancing at my rival to see how she was doing. She looked flawless, I would have to look even better to beat her. No problem, right? The class ended and we all lined up in the center of the ring. We were all anxious when waiting for the results. Finally, I heard the speaker click
