A weakness that I have is that I do not know how to say no to individuals that ask me for help since I love to help people. It is important that I learn to say no when helping others gets in the way of me accomplishing my tasks. It is important that I do both, but not when I run the risk of not meeting my deadlines and me staying late hours after work to get my work done. It has not been an easy task saying no, but I am learning to be okay with saying no because it is important that it does not interfere with my responsibilities.…

The different elements of the personality type indicate how I prefer to receive energy, gather information, make decisions and orient my life (Kroeger, O., Thuesen J. M., Rutledge, H., 2002). By understanding how each of the sections of my personality work individually and together as a whole I will be able to become a more open minded and productive individual in my career and in my personal life. As I begin to learn the Typewatching technique I will become better able to understand my colleagues and other people in my life (Kroeger et al., 2002).…

Throughout the majority of my life, I was self-conscious and constantly worried about how I was perceived by others. As a child, I had always felt slightly out of place among my peers. I was just a little too quirky to fit into any of the groups at my school and I was too shy to force my way into one. I could not exactly understand what made me so different from my classmates and I desired more than anything to gain the self-confidence to express myself.…

The seven self-assessment quizzes I took were sustainable marriage, parenting style, relationship connectedness, how strong is your relationship, domestic violence, love, lust or a loser, and energy vampires. I was shocked and perplexed with the results of the sustainable marriage, relationship connectedness, and how strong is your relationship. The scores on the sustainable marriage and relationship connectedness were a little low however, I scored very high on how strong is your relationship. I felt as if one of the assessments was low they would all be low instead of 2/3 of them being low. With that being said, there is no doubt my wife and I have a strong relationship.…

Every human being has quirks and personality traits that make them unique and these characteristics give them the individuality that makes them who they are. No matter how insignificant they may seem to an outsider, these peculiarities and personality traits have a significant impact on how individuals interact with others in both personal and professional realms. To take advantage of the vast and various personalities that may be found in today’s diverse workplace, both managers and employees at every level in any organization should begin by learning about their own personality traits by completing a Myers-Briggs personality test. The analysis results from the various self-assessments have afforded me the opportunity to notice hidden aspects about myself. I have been able to perform contemplative and thorough self-examinations of my personality in order to determine viable methods to enrich my overall personality. It has been my experience that organizational behavior in many ways are similar to the institutionalized behaviors exhibited by those in orphanages or prisons. The similarities reside in the fact that the workplace is an environment where people from very different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities and religious beliefs find themselves compartmentalized into an environment, directed towards a new way of life and then ordered to play nice…
