Towards the end of tenth grade and the Middle Years Programme, we were given an opportunity task to become passionate in our own interests and develop them. The aim of this Personal Project, is to become independent and confident in making choices that demonstrates skills, knowledge, and attitude of learning. This is to become more aware of our identity, community, and change preconceptions. Hence, a global context that appealed to our interest was chosen, and Approaches To Learnings skills were applied to accomplish the goal we set for ourselves. By stepping out to explore my personal beliefs, values, and behavior, my perspective has broadened, as I’ve learned how to make an influence in my surroundings whilst developing a unique characteristic that distinguishes from others. I started off with identifying what I already knew about composing and recording music. When I was eleven years old in South Korea, I attended practical lessons in a Musical Academy for two years. During my attendance, I’ve had some experience of composing with the guidance from a teacher. This experience was immensely helpful in completion to my personal project, as I was able to construct an overall plan in preparation for the months ahead. During this experience, I’ve learnt that the first step of composing music is coming up with a harmony and melody based on a theme or mood. This was neatly recorded onto a computer programme, by connecting an electric piano to the computer system. A unique melody, with lyrics were applied on the music, and the song was completed by recording vocals onto a digital programme such as garageband. Thus, I knew exactly what technology and equipments were needed for my
