Personal Narrative: My Resolution For Salaries

Decent Essays
My resolutions for the year of 2018 are to show up on time, remember family and friends birthdays, and lastly to get straight A’s this semester. This year I have greatly suffered in time management causing me to be late many times so I’m making this resolution to fix that. What I also made a resolution to fix this year is to remember my family and friends birthdays because it was really bad when I showed up home and it’s my brothers, moms, dads, birthday and I don’t have a gift so I have to order something on amazon with get it on the same day shipping that cost 30 dollars alone. My resolution for school is to get straight A’s because having 1 B for semester 1 as a freshman stresses me out so much for some reason so I want to get straight A’s …show more content…
What I was really late to were my explorer meetings and actually I was late to every single one this year which was really unprofessional. I also want to stop being late to first period because I miss 10 minutes of it half of the time and this is actually a big reason, because if I get marked for tardies I will become ineligible which means I can’t go to wrestling tournaments. The main reason I’m making this resolution is because of practice and Coach Wright isn’t very happy when I’m late. These are the reasons of why I’m making this …show more content…
I need to start getting to places on time such as practices because it’s really irresponsible and coach Wright isn’t very happy. I also have to start remembering my family and friends birthdays because it’s one of the rudest things I could do, especially when I don’t have a gift on time or not even call them to tell them happy birthday. My last resolution is to get straight A’s this year because my mom is not a happy camper when I finish a school year with a single B and yes she is one of those moms. Theses are my 2018 resolutions I will try to

Opposers say we have to go, it’s just another Monday to those who don’t watch the Super Bowl, but many people are too tired to go. This is due to people calling out of work, which causes the U.S. losing about 1 billion dollars every year due to the lack of productivity and 16 million kids skip school the day after the Super Bowl, causing more than half of school’s students being out, and the kids who are actually in school are too tired to learn anything. Schools and…

Unfortunately thirty minutes to get three people ready, is a recipe for a very stressful morning. Needless to say, we were late more times than not. Being late resulted in my children not given enough time to eat breakfast and always feeling rushed, that could potentially set a bad tone for their day, and sometimes did. After observing these behaviors, I was even more convinced that this habit needs to change quickly. Not only was my procrastinating effecting my study habits and school work, but it was also effecting my family, and that is not fair for…

Sometimes I am not able to have lunch because I would rather miss that than class. I also have doctor appointments in Sioux Falls about once a month. Another way it has affected me was that right after surgery I had to miss about a week and half to two weeks of school. After that, I was only able to come about half days due to my stamina being down due to all my pain. I had to work extra hard to catch back up to everyone else.…

Several times, I contemplated dropping out high school to help with the bills. Furthermore, being a first generation high school graduate in college means essentially flying blind with no footsteps to guide the way. Additionally, working full time, at times 60 hours per week means that my grades do not reflect my full potential. Nevertheless, as time went by, I quickly realize that there are communities with unmet needs right here in the U.S. as well. The communities classified as lower class that I now belong to.…

My mom used to tell me in the old days they were more strict than today. Their parents don’t let them go out without any companion. They had to do their chores every day before they could go out, and their parents also picked the right guy for them and that is hard because being with a guy that they don’t love is totally unfair. I can’t imagine placing myself in that situation but my parents are using that rule to me and it’s so unfair for my part. For example, there was a time that I had to go to my friend’s birthday party, and my mom wouldn’t let me go out without any companion, so I have to bring my cousin with me to be sure that I went there and didn’t go some other place.…

With me getting a car, I wouldn’t have to wait around for others. For instance, my mom takes forever in the morning to get ready and we have to go drop off my sister to school first and usually I end up being late to school and it wastes my time because I miss valuable instruction time. I remember this one particular time, I was thirty minutes late to my college class, this made me frustrated than any other times I’ve been late because this class is fast paced and every minute is valuable and I missed important instructional time. I ended up catching up to the time I lost but I was still very bothered because it doesn't look good on me as a student. Driving myself to school will help me make a efficient schedule that can also be useful in the future with things such as jobs or college.…

Everything in life was hitting me all at once. About a week later I missed my Mother 's birthday because I worked an extra shift at work. My family really wanted me to go but I told them no I want to make money. This made them upset and gave them the perception of money is more important than family. As easy as I could have talked to my manager to arrange that date off I didn 't.…

I received this assignment on a Tuesday and it is now Sunday, the day before it’s due, so that goes to show that I do not do homework right when it’s assigned. This affects my future self because I must spend all day doing an assignment that I could have worked one days ago, and it might not be as great as it could be, if I had started on it days ago. Every day when I wake up, I never want to get ready for school or work. I will always snooze the alarm as late as I can, and when I do wake up I sit around doing nothing. When it’s finally time to get ready I will walk slow and slowly get dressed, until I must run out the house before I am late.…

The last 3 weeks have been a whirlwind of chaos with everyone running around like chickens with their heads cut off! Between preparing for and starting state testing, dealing with a less than helpful yearbook company, and a “heated” field day, I have decided that we really need more hours in a day. MAP Testing All of the testing scheduling I discussed in my second reflection has gone amuck this week. The testing company’s (Nextera) server went down on Wednesday morning which meant we had a scheduled test that was not able to be taken. This morning, with the torrential rain and flooding, our attendance rate was low and a power surge kicked us out of the testing session.…

The Tuesday before, I realized my piece was not published and was in need of changing. Due to the stress of the One Act, I did not fully complete the switch until the Friday Night before the tournament. Shockingly when I arrived I realized most performances were mediocre at best. I didn’t get my hopes up because I knew I was ill-prepared as well. When I broke into finals, I gave myself an internal pep talk and put as much energy and emotion in as possible.…
