I enjoyed the medium so much, my mother decided to channel that emotion into an actual canvas with the help of art lessons. Painting classes were now part of my everyday schedule and I couldn’t be more thankful for it. I still remember the first time a piece of mine made it to an actual exhibition. With 8 years of age, I barely understood what was going on around me at the gallery reception. I made it to the newspaper and that was all that mattered at the time. Years later I understand the greater picture: these prior experiences were a taste of what I was going to pursue in a professional area. The excitement of learning to control my abilities and the array of people met along the way was something I wanted to have by my side throughout my life. By that time I knew, that in my near future, an art school was going to shine a light upon me.
However with photography, it’s a different story. My main objective is to enhance the beauty in everyday objects through photographs. That cup of coffee you had today or the sunflower facing the sun in your backyard could certainly be the main subjects of my work. People tend to be astonishingly unobservant. They go around in their daily lives, too busy to pay attention to the objects around them. Thtas precisely when I come in and give those objects in the spotlight. Through whichever branch of art it may be, one is able to see things differently. Not only a different perspective is offered with every passing artist, but also a different motivation to execute. In every piece, there is a little piece of the composer, so to speak, portrayed in it. As an artist, I like to give my pieces a personality. Qualities that make them unique: be it the direction the thicker paint marks take or the time of the day a picture is taken: I try to make every detail personal. This way, feelings flow freely in the canvas or in the lens. I am able to expose my intimate concerns to the public, but any unaided eye will never depict the purpose everything in front of them
