For this course, the three objectives that I incorporated at work (KOI) were obtaining my RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification, improving my planning and organizational skills for various tasks that needed to be completed, and cultivating professional relationships with colleagues and supervisors. I first selected the goal of obtaining my certification because it was something I needed to achieve in order to move out of training at work. Additionally, I feel that having this as a goal for the course gave me more motivation for obtaining the certification. Improving my planning and organizational skills was an objective not only for the length of this course, but something I want to continually work on throughout my time at the company. I…

One goal I wish I had worked a little harder towards would be my participation in class discussions. I have always been really shy and especially quiet in class. Oftentimes I would know the answer to a question or have an idea, but not matter how hard I tried, I could not bring myself to raise my hand. I wish I had improved on this skill because in the upcoming years, it will become crucial for me to participate in class discussions. Another goal that I did not meet was improving my nonverbal delivery skills.…

Introduction “Goal setting and feedback” are motivational tools to enhance human performance. Managers use them to encourage staff performance and behaviour. My case study will focus on procurement management in the Trade Development Support Program (TDSP) implemented by the Ministry of Commerce in Cambodia. I will compare this practical experience with the theory of motivation as described in the book “Organization behaviour on the Pacific Rim”. As I reflect on my personal life I value life itself to the point I live each day not knowing what to expect the next day. Positivity is a major factor in all that I do to the point of trying to view all things in a positive way and leaving the negativity out the door. As a mother, partner, educator, and entrepreneur I strive to be mindful, spiritual, and conscious of all my actions. I value these things because this is what makes up my life and what I live for each day. My life is a fourth generation person and I relate because I “want to live, love, learn, and leave it like a seed with balance and joy" (Covey, 73) the quality of my life is more important than planning it out.…
