Setting goals allows for one to choose what they want to do in life. The process of goal setting helps boost confidence and concentration on what truly matters in life. In the article Personal Goal Setting: Planning to Live Your Life Your Way by Sarah Pavey, Pavey lists many reasons on why goal setting is of such importance and also provides many useful tips on how to begin goal setting. Setting specific goals, whether it is a one month plan or one year plan, allows for less distractions in life and helps guide a path to what is important. Goal setting offers motivation and allows one to focus efforts to help organize time and resources toward making life more meaningful. Additionally, by having defined goals, one will have raised their self confidence because they are able to recognize their ability to achieve goals.
