My Personal Goal

During the beginning of the school year, I wanted to achieve a goal of getting a ninety percent or higher in Algebra 2. I have always strived to do well in math class, but when I took Algebra two years ago, I was unable to obtain my desired scores. My objective was to get better grades this time around in the math class. In semester one, I made it a priority to turn in every assignment on time. By doing this, my homework completion grades helped to keep my scores in the desired range. It seems that Algebra comes easier to me now than it did when I was eleven years old. Now it is easier for me to grab onto mathematical concepts. The progress that I had accomplished in the first semester was greater than I had anticipated.

This question has helped shape my personal values and principles and directed my path into the nursing field. The main reason why I think that HACC is the best choice for me is because of the cost. The rates per credit are around $250 and that is for in-state residents. The total cost for a commuter would be around $13,750 for a student who is full time, which means they are taking 12 credits per term (Stager). This price of $13,750 includes the price of books, supplies, food, and transportation and it is an average price for all HACC students (HACC.edu). I think that I could easily cut some of the cost by trying to buy my books online for a cheaper price or even eating at home to save a lot of money.…

Oftentimes I would know the answer to a question or have an idea, but not matter how hard I tried, I could not bring myself to raise my hand. I wish I had improved on this skill because in the upcoming years, it will become crucial for me to participate in class discussions. Another goal that I did not meet was improving my nonverbal delivery skills.…

My SMART Goal is to create a business plan by the end of the semester for a men’s brick and mortar clothing boutique that I hope to one day own and operate. So far I really haven’t progressed at all on my goal. I have a lot going on in my life, as many people do, and that is the main reason that little progress has been made. My plan initially was supposed to account for the time I have between my almost 40 hour work week and the classes I am taking here at Wake Tech. So far this case study of myself has only proved that I am, as I already know, a procrastinator.…
