The purpose of this project is to illustrate how God works in our lives, while we are in pursuit of a loving and tangible relationship with Him. As we grow closer to the Christ, the Lord it will be in our greatest interest to understand why we must form a tangible relationship with the Omniscient One. My aim is to elaborate on how my life has changed as a result, developing an intimate friendship with God and to depict my faith story, while demonstrating how God has revealed Himself to me, as I have committed myself to living for our Heavenly Father. In the process of expressing my thoughts, I will expound on how my life has changed and who converse about how God shaped my life and faith. It is thought-provoking how I have witness God's …show more content…
In addition, we must follow the Trinity's initiatives to remain on a righteous path. God integrates our mind, will, and emotions to interact with our souls. What we believe and muse (think) is what we will become. The renewing of the mind is an arduous task. Conversely, it is the Lord's will and delight that Christians may actively be conformed Christ' deportment and actions.
What is your "faith story"?
My personal faith story has led to my own salvation and this is why as a spiritual leader, I feel compelled to become a living sacrifice" (Rom 12:1-2 ESV). I was raised in a primarily Christian church, while discerning early in life that, being a Christian is more than a religious tradition, dogma, or practice. It takes a vast amount of guts to become a Christian, why because "faith" is a tangible (real) connection to God, that one cannot see. The reality is, we as Christian must believe in faith. One cannot just pick up faith and carry it around. Faith is unseen to the universe. I hold on to faith, hence I have no other choice but to believe in God, the Almighty and the

God's grace has worked in my life by giving me victory over my weakness. The Lord's grace is one of the key scriptural motivators of my spiritual life, which enables me to stay on the correct path. God's grace sustains and carries my difficult times through. As Christians, we must discern that God's grace is a free gift to us therefore, it is wise to honor our blessings by obeying God's commandments and doing His works.
Tozer illustrates an encouraging message “The inquiring Christian trample under foot every slippery trick of his or her deceitful heart and insists on open relations with the Lord.” Dr. Hilborn, God made me do away with my own desire and self-gratification, so that I can stay focused on serving His people. I am not allowed to reverse the behaviors of sinning as denoted in Tozer's literature. Tozer's literature "The Pursuit of God" is powerful and inspirational, that of which its context aims to guide individuals who desire to follow Christ, and incorporates the bible teachings that emphasize on the concept of pursuing the

4.7 Let's Pretend In this chapter, the author says that pretending could help us develop the behavior God wants of us. By pretending to be a good person even if you are not, we begin to become that reality. He says when we get on our knees and say our prayers, we say "our father". We are assuming the role of a son of God.…

Hope can be difficult to look forward to when we are faced with the trials of life. This Bible study will take the author's own journey through a hope crisis and turn it into a story that brings hope and healing to those who participate in this study. The author will take the reader on a journey through a devotional, and provide life application questions designed for reflection and journaling each week.…

Message of the Book I suggest that he most significant message of Revolution of Character is that there are six dimensions, with the “heart” at the center, that need to work in the proper order and unison for spiritual maturity to occur in the believer. These dimensions are “thoughts”, “feelings”, “the heart”, “the body”, “social context” and, finally, the soul with the sole being what ties the other five together. Also important to this is understand that Willard/Simpson seems to use the terms “heart” and “spirit” and “will” equally and/or interchangeably. “From the contents of our heat, we see our world and interpret reality” (pg 12). It is through the heart and the six areas noted above that eventually allow us to become a reflection…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

I have experienced much grace through the trouble and poverty I have witnessed through my mission trips to Guatemala. I went to Guatemala June 9-16, 2014, and August 4-11, 2015 (and I plan on going back August 2016). Seeing the conditions these people live in daily, has helped me take to heart the kind of help they are in need of. Many of these people have no home, no family or no money to provide for their family, yet they are still thankful. Most of the time little boys and girls won’t have any shoes on their feet or their clothes will be far too small.…

It is often confused what faith is and what it is not. Indeed it is an abstract term which its definition will change depending on who you ask. Throughout the works of two authors, Faith by Terrence W. Tilley and The Essential Tillich by Paul Tillich, the term faith gets evaluated and explained in a more in depth fashion. Everyone has faith; it does not have to be a religious belief, but in fact it can be a relationship with something, a center of value, or a motive. Faith, to me, is an abstruse concept where the components of belief, hope and morality unite to form a synonymous definition.…

Corruption has taken over our daily lives, and one of the most common forms of sin is materialism. This immoral act is overwhelming and can take over the lives of christians and non-christians alike. The quote by Stanley Hauerwas goes over some key points including how we must dispossess ourselves from material items so that our relationship with Christ can grow. Also, in order to be followers of Christ we must be like him and let go of all things that we believe give us and others power and authority. Lastly, we must give up control to God, because he gives our lives meaning.…

Every day I continue to work on my faith and gain back my relationship between God.…

Problem In order to better understand how one’s interpersonal relationships relate to the connections one has with God, Kristin Laurin, Karina Schumann, and John G. Holmes, pioneered a study which explored how one’s interpersonal relationships affected their ongoing relationship with God. They hypothesized that people will seek a stronger relationship with God when facing rejection in other interpersonal relationships, but that when facing rejection by religion they will form stronger interpersonal connections with their human companions. Previous studies have explored how one’s relationship with God might affect their day to day lives. For example, the fact that God can act as a parental figure and meet all the criteria of an attachment…

On August 26, 2005, I gave my life to Christ, and it was the start of a whole new chapter of my journey. I still remember that night vividly in my head. The feelings of excitement, joy, and love were very tangible in my heart. My mom and dad were both sitting beside me on my bed while I was told the importance of this decision and how my life would never be the same. Even at 5 years old, I was aware of my decision to follow Jesus and accept him into my heart.…

God plays a very important role in my everyday life ever since day one. I personally believe that he is continuously trying to get through to me. For example, God is always putting obstacles in my life to see if I am strong, or tough enough to get through them. However, some obstacles are tougher than others, some seem impossible, and others I find the solution within no time. God does all of this out of love, which also is a powerful word in my life.…

Discipline, without doubt, is a key element of immeasurable growth and maturity, whether it is in sports, academics, spiritual life, or even the workplace. Regardless of the genre in which an individual desires change, progress towards an anticipated outcome cannot be obtained without aspiration, willingness, and a do whatever it takes attitude. In professional circles, discipline without competent practice is an exercise in futility ("Professional Growth," 2015). The same could be said concerning servanthood in the Christian faith.…
