Being a leadership minor, I already have my leadership philosophy that i feel fits hand in hand with my coaching philosophy. Since I was in elementary school, I knew that I was a leader on the court and in the classroom. . It started at the age of 5 with being apart of my first AAU basketball team, all the way to mentoring kids at leadership camps. I did not fully realize that I was able to lead at that age, but as I have grown up, I have come to see that I am a leader to my sports teammates and my classmates. Now in high school, I take pride in being a leader on the football and baseball teams, and to my classmates in school. The pride I feel stems from my satisfaction of leading those around me to achieve a common goal. As leader for those people around me, leading them towards the goal of a win in sports, or towards the goal of success in school, is central to my character.…

Your leadership style defines your values and beliefs, and how you relate to people, you encounter on a daily basis. Transformational leadership is a term used “to define successful leaders in different kind of organizations and focuses on change and innovation by connecting with individuals and teams” (LeBlanc, 2014, p.49). I consider myself as a good influence to my coworkers by being a resource person and trusting my opinion when asked for assistance in skills and knowledge in case management.
