It was moments where I thought I was going to give up and just forget how hard I worked to get where I am now. I had to train myself mentally in order for me to get through this summer, and I have set a personal action plan for the fall and spring semester of my freshman year. A personal action plan for me will be to schedule my daily activities out and manage my time more efficiently. This summer, I have covered plenty of strategies in order for me to achieve my plan during the fall and spring semester. One of the strategies I found useful was to have a planner and write down all of my assignments due and I can also fit other personal activities in the planner. The reason I found this strategy useful was because during the fall and spring semester, I’ll have everything planned out and I will never fall behind on any assignments. This will give me a chance to be ahead of my friends who doesn’t have a planner and I’ll be able to fit time in for me to do other activities that doesn’t deal with school. My academic SMART goal for the summer was to not have any grade below a B by August 21, 2015. I was very successful with completing this goal for the summer. I have all A’s and one B for the summer. During the summer, I felt way more determined in wanting to have high grades and not falling under. This whole summer, I have been pushing myself to do better than I did in high school because I felt as if the strategies I used in high school wouldn’t be useful in college. I was introduced to new strategies this summer that helped me achieve my goal as well. These strategies helped me push myself forward academically and mentally. I felt that this summer was a mental stage to prepare me for the next level and get me out of the high school

This article explores the opposing viewpoint that summers should remain care free. However, it lacks research to back up the authors ' claims. After reading the two and comparing the two viewpoints, I came to a conclusion that students should be encouraged to participate in summer classes and camps because they give students an extra edge for the coming school year, they give students vital knowledge without chewing up much time of the students vacation, and they prevent students who are behind at the end of the school year from being even more behind at the start of the next school year. The biggest goal for many serious students is getting ahead in their…

If I want to be a success at my next stop on the learning train, I must learn to deal with deadlines in a more appropriate manner. These small loopholes that I have discovered throughout high school will not be present at higher levels of education. I must delete this bad habit of procrastination, whether it is skipping school or using the hidden gateways to turning late assignments in for full credit, before arriving at the university. One way that I will work on this during the summer is to never miss an unnecessary day of work. During the summer I will be on my "A-Game" the whole time, and never be late to any event no matter the importance of it.…

I became if not the most active student than one of the most active students in all my classes. I was attending tutoring and extra credit events all semester. I was studying when I had to and was finally putting school before everything else. At the end of the spring semester all my F’s weren’t F’s anymore. I finished with A, B, D, D and obtained 2.25 GPA for the spring which barely pushed me over the 2.0 mark that I needed to meet for athletics and to be taken off academic…

Dear Members of the Reinstatement Committee: I am applying to be reinstated for the spring semester of 2017. This past semester has been tremendously harder for me that I originally thought. The statement, you don’t realize how much something means to you until its gone could not have proved more true to me in the past couple of months. I have loved my time at Washburn but last spring I let myself get lazy and I take full responsibility for that. I did participate in the STAR program like I should have.…

The reason that I wasn’t able to accomplish all of it was, I believe, because I wasn’t stretching as often as I should have. If I would’ve done that then I would be much more flexible than I am now. But that just shows me how much harder I need to and will work over the school year and next summer. Therefore, I had accomplished my left split and almost my straddle. Having the ability to do both splits and straddle with ease is important to my overall success as a dancer.…
