First, I made sure I had everything I needed in my suit case. After I ate my breakfast, we set for the road. My mom and I drove for an hour and a half to get to job corps.
My fist day at Job Corps started off very well. I walked into the dorms, and I heard people talking while waiting for someone to come in. I said hello to everybody and took my bag to the back, so that they could cheek it. Then I went and sat down with my mother. I was sitting there wondering when everything would start, and then I heard someone talking behind us. I turned around and

In the past few years, I’ve volunteered with a variety of organizations from National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Key Club. I have also co-founded a Community Outreach Club at high school. Through the Church I’ve assisted with Vacation Bible School and middle school retreats. One of my favorite memories came from volunteering for the first time with National Spanish Honor Society. Choosing to participate in this program was not a difficult decision, since I knew I wanted to continue practicing my Spanish and volunteer in the community at the same time.…

It was hard for my dad to let me go because I am the oldest daughter and I have never separated from my dad. My little sister and my brother were crying too.…

I have lived a blessed life filled with many great days. I have several of these days that particularly stick out in my mind such as the day my brother was born, the first day of my seventh grade play, the evening when I graduated, and the birth of my niece at four in the morning, but the day I hold above all of these was the day I spent with my extended Sanders family at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City. The first reason why I treasure this day exceedingly much is that it was spent with a family that I have never gotten to see regularly. The Sanders family is heavily involved in Christian ministry.…
