I was recently involved in leading a freshmen retreat at my school. Along with another senior, we were given eight freshmen to accompany throughout the day. Our group was given the assignment to do service at a non-profit organization called Mosaic Ministries. Mosaic Ministries was located in a very poor location of Toledo. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door that stated, “No guns allowed on school premises.” I became scared and worried for the girls in my group. I did not normally encounter a school that felt it necessary to state that guns weren’t allowed. I always thought it was normally implied.
