Background
I was raised in Union, Mississippi by Larry and Sue Addy and was involved in First Baptist Church of Union. At the age of 17, our youth minister sked me about my relationship with Christ. I had to admit that I did not have one. He lead me to Jesus and I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Throughout high school, I was actively involved with our youth group; however, when I started college I began to drift away from the Lord. After graduating from Mississippi State University, I moved to Winston County and began to teach history at Nanih Waiya High School.
In 1994, I married the former Lisa Thompson and soon began to attend Harmony Baptist Church. We became involved in the activities of the church and my relationship with the Lord began to grow. One morning after leading a group of students in a devotion at school, I felt the Lord

In the spring of 2001, Temple Baptist Church near Moss Point called me as their youth and children’s minister. I served there while attending Seminary in New Orleans. In 2004, through various circumstances God began to call me to Pastor.
Sunrise Baptist Church called my family and I to serve as their Pastor in September 2004. God has richly blessed Sunrise Baptist Church with numerical, but most importantly, spiritual growth over the past thirteen years. We have witnessed God complete a new sanctuary and remodel our children’s department without any debt. We have been blessed to join God where he is working.
In 2015 Bro. Joe Able retired as Director of Missions in Leake County. I was asked to serve in an interim capacity while the search for the new director was taking place. I accepted the interim position and enjoyed the new opportunity but was limited by the fact that I was still Pastoring at Sunrise. Since that time, I have felt a leading into Association Ministry on a full-time basis. I am currently seeking God’s will concerning this
