To increase my consumption of Alpha-Tcocphaerol (vitamin E) I can consume more avocados, spinach, and egg yolks are also a good source. To increase my vitamin D in take to reach the DRI I can consume more fish such as tuna and salmon. I have included a table comparing my diet’s food group servings in comparison to the CFG recommended servings. It is evident that my diet did not conform to the serving numbers recommended in CFG. I’m not consuming nearly enough milk or grain products while my meat and alternatives intake is astronomical in comparison. I predicted that my milk and alternatives score would be very low as I don’t include dairy products in my diet other than chocolate milk and creamer in coffee. Because of the avoidance of dairy products, my milk and alternatives servings value was very low.…

I ate too much protein foods like fish, meat and eggs, which made my percentage on protein ninety-nine which is more than the recommended intake. Though the body use protein to provide structural and mechanical support and maintaining the body’s tissues to create enzymes and hormones and helping maintain acid-based and fluid balance, too much of protein can cause diseases like osteoporosis, kidney failure, kidney failure, gout, and possibly certain cancers. I was very low in vitamins A, which I took only twenty percent of the recommended amount. I did not eat enough food like sweet potatoes, carrots, dark leafy greens, lettuce, dried apricots, cantaloupe and tropical fruits, which are rich in vitamin A. The personal experiment I tested out this week was the meditating for five minutes. We did this in class on thursday and we just sat there for five minutes trying to not think about anything. It worked for me, all I did was clear my head and just focus on how I was breathing. My breathing pattern was weird, I would breathe in for two seconds then I would breathe out. It’s funny because if you think about you’re the one controlling your breaths and you decide if you want to breathe or not like you could just not breathe at and just hold it in, but that’s way harder.…
