The personal experiment I tested out this week was the meditating for five minutes. We did this in class on thursday and we just sat there for five minutes trying to not think about anything. It worked for me, all I did was clear my head and just focus on how I was breathing. My breathing pattern was weird, I would breathe in for two seconds then I would breathe out. It’s funny because if you think about you’re the one controlling your breaths and you decide if you want to breathe or not like you could just not breathe at and just hold it in, but that’s way harder. People that can hold their breath for a long time amaze me because I think it’s so cool that they can do that without passing out. Some people train for that like in the military, …show more content…
Aside from holding your underwater there is other ways where you could use meditating in your everyday life. For me, I use this when I’m stressed out or mad. For instance when I’m in an argument with someone and I don’t want to say anything that will ruin our friendship. I just take a couple of minutes and clear my head, take a deep breath and try to fix what we are arguing about. Also, when I’m stress sometimes I freak out and go crazy, think about deep things and try to calm myself down; Back away from whatever I’m doing and take a couple minutes for myself. For some people they do this everyday or this is their job. I would say meditating works if you do it right and you’re a patient person because some people are so impatient and want the results right there and then, but it doesn’t work that way; it's a lengthy process. The results I got back from this experiment were breathtaking, all this meditating worked for me. All you need to do is take a couple of minutes out of your busy day and just sit somewhere comfortable for five minutes and clear your mind. Let the meditating work it’s magic. I liked doing this so much that I’m going to continue this process in my everyday

Mindful breathing is an exercise to let your mind completely relax from all the things that you could think of in the present time. Relaxing our minds let’s us focus on the current time, instead of your mind paying attention to something else.
