Be that as it may, this person would also encourage me not only to keep my neighbors’ lottery ticket, but in doing so, keep it a secrete. Justifying this secrecy, they would convince me to withhold the information due to it being non beneficial to my self interest, allowing the opposing individual knowledge of my intentions. They would then insist on proving the vital importance of the advantage to keep my affairs private. It would be understood why I choose to take his or her ticket but an agreeance on the action is where the conflict will develop. My neighbor would have felt cheated out of a great opportunity, and I would have felt if I passed up this opportunity, I would have cheated myself. Though it is not great to mix money within friendships and relationship, a loss on my neighbors part and a gain on my part would definitely render levels of jealousy and hate that would cause tension within the friendship which would eventually self destruct. Also, when placing yourself and your needs before others, a reputation develops around the fact that your image is now seen as self-centered, self-obsessed and egotistical. Another negative impact would be the level of distrusted developed after taking the advice to keep my decision a secrete. If the neighbor ever found out the truth, my character would come into question and I’d be seen as a sneaky untrustworthy
