Why I Write
Writing has always come to me as something I feel proud of. Writing may be something I feel proud of, but it also comes with a lot of struggles and hard work. Once I wrote a twenty page re-search paper that really impacted me. This re-search paper took a lot of work, but as I looked and held my paper in my hands I felt so proud of my work that I’ve achieved. Writing makes me feel proud because of the wonderful grades. And because of the daily use of it. For example social media but most of all because I enjoy it.

To me writing is hard. When I was in the process of making a re-search paper it was hard. I had to look in about seven sources. Books and websites for accurate information. All that information was put into two hundred note cards. Then all two hundred note cards were put into an outline. This was a hard process for me.Even though writing is hard it allows me to put all my thoughts and ideas in a writing piece. This really helps me understand my writing. Writing is like reading, but instead of reading a book and visualizing a movie you’re creating a story that will leave a permanent place in a reader’s heart. When I finish writing I look back at my writing and feel proud of it.
Writing is important to me because without writing we would be clueless. Without writing there would be no education. I learned that writing is special. Also that writing is surrounding us every day and we use it weather we realize it or not. Writing effects your grades by the amount of writing you do either for school or for social media but most of all because of

Writing has always been a pastime for me. When I was younger, I loved writing stories just for fun or to have something to share with my family and friends. I remember being able to sit down for hours on end and write full pages worth of writing. Whether it made any sense, had proper grammar, and even if it was legible didn’t matter to me. It was writing that I could truly say was my own and be proud of.…

I have always considered my relationship with writing to be very insignificant. Although I enjoy spending time verbally expressing my thoughts and feelings to others, it becomes difficult when these thoughts and feelings are expressed through writing. Throughout my adolescent years, I would often receive feedback for my writing given by the teacher in the form of a grade. Being unable to effectively organize my thoughts and ideas into words and sentences, I would feel reluctant to continue writing confidently whenever I received an undesirable grade.…

To me, writing has always been busy work and something that teachers only used to create grades. My writing experience in high school was very limited to one category in: practice AP essays. The writing I did in class was always preparing for AP exams and was very fact based. Most essays, such as history, were only used to show that I knew the material and weren’t graded on how good the writing was. I didn’t feel like I had any freedom to stray away from the format that the AP graders expected because I didn’t want that to affect my score.…
