Why I Should Be in the NHS

When I got the letter in the mail and talked to Mr.Steele I realized that it would be an honor to be included in NHS. National Honors Society looks to help the needy and one thing I love to do is help. Growing up my parents taught me to take responsibility and achieve whatever I set my mind to. I truly believe that in my years of schooling I have displayed all four essentials; scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

I take a great deal of pride in guiding students to work together to improve themselves and their community. As the student body president of my school and the chairperson of my state’s student council, I push my fellow leaders forward through genuine trust, personal bonds and interpersonal harmonious relationships. It is my ultimate goal to leave others satisfied with their roles and the results that we achieved together by simply giving them a platform to share their voice. Focusing on critical aspects of humanism by using empathy, I encourage my students to take action. However, this does not make me the perfect leader—there’s no such thing.…

Helping just one person has the potential to affect the lives of several others, such as the friends and family members of that individual. Leadership is very important because it helps people stay on track and achieve goals faster. It is especially important to show positive Christian leadership when I am acting because then I can show my faith and love for my Lord. This past week, I overheard someone ask this questions. What is a leader without any followers? It was in reference of someone who has not been so successful with their leadership skills saying that if they can’t live up to the leadership status, no one would follow them.
