It all hinges on their ethnic background, how they were raised, the color of their skin, and more. I guess you could say that I’m curious in different people. I just hated how the school was sectioned off like this. If you weren’t cool you were a nerd, if you weren’t a nerd you’re an outcast. It was just so stupid and complicated. It kind of reminded me of the brown eyes blue eyes experiment by Jane Elliot. Let’s say the brown eyes are the popular kids and the blue eyes were the nerds or outcasts. In school, most of the popular kids would not associate with the nerds. If they did, they would make fun of them. It’s almost kind of the same concept. It’s not all bad though, I did happen to meet some friends that are still friends with me today. It seemed we all shared the same interests, we were all in the same social group you could say. So being in meeting new people from different groups made me feel more open towards other people and their …show more content…

While in other country’s you would get, shunned or die speaking up for yourself. Also in our country freedom of religion is big because in other country’s they have wars based on it. In the united states, you can have all the opportunities you can strive for. All you must do is work hard and meet your goals. No matter what your race or gender you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. When you live in the U.S, you meet lots of different people from all around the world. It’s true what they say that the united states is a melting pot of hopes, dreams, and opportunity to be the best that they could be. It affects me as far as appreciating where I am and how I can fulfill my dreams of a career, family, and confidence that our leaders will protect and use good judgement in keeping us safe. Although we have many flaws I will never give up hope that we will overcome them. As U.S citizens, we show compassion for all people and try our best to better their

America is the country of the free, brave, and considerate. I believe that America gives people opportunities to pursue happiness, evolve lives, and shape the future into a better less catastrophic society. Ralph Waldo Emerson said that “America is another name for opportunity.” America could change the fate of people who inhabit this country and those who don’t. Everytime I walk into school, I feel strongly grateful for my freedom to learn and to participate in extracurricular activities because many girls in other countries don’t have the alternative to assimilate the proper statistics needed in life.…

From a young age, I have struggled with severe anxiety and, more recently, depression (past 3 years) and disordered eating (past year). The reality of my future has always been a huge question mark followed by intense fear and a vow to never plan what I'm going to do with my life ever again (it never works by the way). However, in my own little world, where I am not afraid, I've dreamed of acting. Television, film, local theatre, anything.…
