Setting my foot on to Santa Ana’s campus ground the first day of every semester all I could think about is what kind of person I want people to view me as. Entering my classes, most of my classmates have the idea of knowing who they are as a person leaving me to ponder on the idea of what kind of greatness do I want to leave behind. I was raised to look up and learn from the people that are better than me in school and in life. However, I wanted to be that person for my siblings or even the stranger that I have just met. Granted, not long ago, my mother went to a better place and she left behind a pretty picture of who she was as a person in my mind and the people that she once knew. I remembered taking Advance Physics junior years and struggled with the assigned homework almost every day. In class, I sat next to Vi, the person who became my best friend after helping me and taking her time out during class time to explain and told me the easiest way to approach each assignment. From Vi, I learned that I can be smart, but it doesn’t hurt to share my knowledge and become an even smarter person. Likewise, I became the student that never seems to mind sharing my secret of learning or showing how I did a problem to the classmates that have no idea how to approach one. Moreover, by hiding what I am doing well, I am not gaining anything but the grades; by sharing and be the person that is kind enough to lend my knowledge to others, they are sharing that with the others that are struggling. “In other words, if you are kind to a friend, they are more likely to be kind to someone else they know” (Bond 32). I have not only gained new friendships but brought happiness to my peers because they gained new information to continue with their studies and a new perspective on how it doesn’t hurt to share
