I blow the conch shell to get everyone 's attention and I step up upon the platform. Come over here, I am calling a meeting for a re-election, this is important! [I motion and signal with my hands for all the boys to come over and surround me]. I want to be your leader because I know I can get us off this island as soon as possible.
Okay so Listen, if we don 't shape up and get all our acts together we will end up like Simon, DEAD and helpless. We have to start working like a team again or we will be stranded on this island for eternity. If everyone was more focused on making a fire, then the first boat that went by would have seen us and we wouldn 't be sitting here today still stuck on this island. If we focus on the more important things like shelter and the fire and stop playing the hunting game and eat fruit in the meantime instead of putting all our energy into hunting then before we know it someone will rescue us when they see our smoke signal from the …show more content…
I know that Simon was killed last night but we can 't dwell on the past and let it affect us too much, getting side tracked will only hurt us in the long run. We have to stay on task and work together as a team so we can reach our common goal of getting off this island.
I understand that not all of us get along but that is normal because we are human and no one will always be friends with everyone they meet but we need to set aside our differences because we all have the same problem and in order to fix our problem we have to use teamwork.
Raise your hand if you are tired of expecting to act like an adult! ... Yeah me too, that 's why if you vote me to be your leader than I promise I will do everything I can to get us home.
